Advertise on tvOS Player
ATVPlayer is the first video ad-supported tvOS player SDK, and it’s already in use on the ViuTV tvOS app, which is one of Hong Kong’s leading TV broadcasters.
My task is to create a sales and marketing-driven portal site by outlining features and techniques behind, establishing a simple identity and implementing basic SEO to increase exposure on search engines.

The project took me about two weeks to complete, and all of the materials were prepared in a hurry but to a satisfactory standard. I designed all of the graphics and branding assets for the App Store, as well as coding the site.
There were a few things I thought carefully when I was making it:
The Product Name — ATVPlayer
You may be wondering as to why it’s called “ATV” and associate it with a discontinued TV broadcaster, but the name was just coined for temporary use without much thought, therefore my goal is to keep the product from imitating the broadcaster.

The identity had to be entirely distinct from ATV Channel. Therefore, I created a logotype with grotesque but modern font and 3 colors overlaid to represent its vibrancy and possibilities. The primary purple-blue is also uncommon. It adds the individuality for the product.

SEO
My second concern was setting up the basic SEO. If you are a seasoned marketing executive, my work is just the basics, but knowing and doing it yourself was a solid start.
Headings & Metadata
H1 to H6, everyone should be aware of this! We always change keywords between H1 and H2 (or meta title and description) during our debate, debating which one deserve more importance. Back to basics, if we were thinking like target customers (managers), we’d look for keywords like “tvOS,” “Apple TV” or “Video Ad” than technical terms like “VAST videos” or “SRT” (unless you want to promote your GitHub Project).
Call to Action
Then, we put CTAs to “Contact Sales” on all of the pages, which is very crucial for us to make money! Although adding these buttons might be frustrating, we also provide multiple CTAs based on the context to allow consumers to learn out more before making a purchase.
I ♥️ SVG
I normally export PNGs for app projects, but I always imagine that vectorising all graphics will make my life easier and the UI seem better. Indeed, a clean SVG file are a lot smaller than pixel images. I can’t think of any reasons of not having SVG in the site.

Afterword
In comparison to client projects, the is a tiny endeavour. I built the site entirely in HTML and CSS, with some assistance from a developer for JavaScript issues. Although the work did not thoroughly show off my skills, design or thinking, it provided a good opportunity to improve skills other than design.
